Define what will be translated
Include menus, form labels, errors and confirmation messages, not only article text. Identify who reviews terminology and how corrections reach every language version. Avoid publishing an apparently complete option that stops halfway through a task.
Leave room in the layout
Test longer labels, different date formats and the writing directions you intend to support. Keep text separate from images where possible. A translated interface needs review by someone who understands both the language and the task.
Make language selection predictable
Give each version a stable address and a clear way to switch. Preserve the reader’s location when an equivalent page exists. Consult current platform and search documentation for language annotations before implementing them.
